There is no problem with the fit of the chrome bumpers to the car.

The challenge is that they don't just bolt right up to the car. For example, in the rear the holes for the diving board bumper (including the bumper shocks) are slightly visable when the chrome bumper is installed.

At this point, I am out of my league so I am going to find a body shop that does german cars.

A friend of mind did this swap. He had a body shop do the work and it looks awesome. They basically cut the front valance rounded the metal and created the fog light inserts using the old fog light.

I think this swap totally changes the personality of the car and the parts are all BMW (which is nice). The US style bumpers are just plain ugly.
