Well, the point i was trying to get at was: don't do a half-ass job. Don't just get new pistons. Make sure the cylinder walls are good. Most likely they are not, and you will find yourself in this same position again in the near future.

I think the least expensive option is to find a used running engine with acceptable compression (i figure that is 155-175 across the board, assuming it is a m20b25) Good luck with your decision.
