Subject: New control arms or just bushings?

My control arm bushings are in desperation of needing to be change. But the problem is, the arms have aged, and the dust boots for the ball-joints have rips in them.

Is there any possible fix for this? I tried using a universal boot from Pep Boys, but it tore. I think it tore becuase I didnt trim it to the correct size.

If my second attempt doesnt work, I think I will just save a little more and get aluminum M3 control arms and install urethane bushings.

If my second attempt at fixing the boot does work, I think I'll get the ireland engineering urethane bushings for the control arms and the rear subframe.

What do you guys think?

- Jon
