Subject: Where to get an M3 tranny?

The tranny synchros for 1st, 2nd, and 4th are shot on my car. Anyone know where I can get a good used or rebuilt transmission from? I've seen rebuilds from metric mechanic and turner, but they cost $2k. Or is it possible to just have my synchros replaced instead of getting a new tranny?
