Subject: Need help with the starter

My starter has begun to squeal almost everytime (sometimes it doesn't happen) I go to start my 90 325IS. The engine turns over as normal apart from the noise. When I release the key I can hear the motor spin down and the squealing winds down as well.

I'm thinking it's a bearing in the starter motor. Anyone have insight?

What's involved in swapping out the starter? How many bolts are holding it to the bellhousing?
