My advice is to take it somewhere with a CO meter, have them adj. it properly, and stop messin' with it! That screw is for adjusting the CO level for emissions, so there is no reason to mess with it. In fact, you shouldn't really mess with the ICV adj. screw either, but that one is not so fatal to the running of the car, nor is it as difficult to set.
