Subject: Ugh, can't get the control arm outer ball joint out of the strut...

I'm in the middle of (trying to) getting my front struts off so I can put my new springs/shocks in, but I can't get the outer ball joint out of the strut. I know it's been asked many times, and I hate to ask again. I've totally deformed the old nut by hitting on it, I've hit it from all angles, and nothing has budged. What are some techniques you guys have used? I'm also using liquid wrench.

What sucks is that this control arm was put in two years ago. The other side is original, that one might be even more of a bitch.

And it's hot as balls out too.

Bill
