Subject: Framingham School Lunch

The MWDN has had articles mentioning a problem with the Towns collecting monies owed from their lunch programs.

WHO these people are that are have a problem paying their school lunches? Notice this comment from the MWDN artilce:

"There are likely many reasons why unpaid lunches continue to increase, he said, but most parents, when asked, said they didn't have the money. He added some of those families were also reluctant to sign up for the free and reduced lunch program, either because they felt they wouldn't be eligible or were worried about giving personal information to a federal government-run program"

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out WHO these "reluctant" people are who are worried about "giving personal information to a federal government-run program"

They are illegal immigrants who have kids in the school system. I think this obviously is something we saw coming but now it is here.

My problem with all this is really how "poor" are the people that owe this money? If these people are Illegal Alien families then there is a good chance that a lot of these families are sending monies back "home". The money sent home is NOT a small amount of money. According to the magazine The Social Contract, Summer 2011 pp 3- 25 under the heading "Crime and Illegal Immigration" this was mentioned about monies being sent by Illegal's back to their countries of origin:

"it is believed that each year over one hundred billion dollars is being sent from the United States to the home countries of these foreign workers"

If ANY person who is here in America is KNOWN to be sending monies back to any "home" country then he shouldn't be getting a free lunch for anyone in his family. This free lunch thing is another blowback that has come with accepting Illegal immigrants in our community.
