I and my sisters to received the long glycerin suppository as a child. The first one I remember was on the changing table around 3 1/2 years old. Legs lifted by my aunt Rose and mom inserting the suppository. Mom held the suppository on the end for a few minutes then moved it in and out until it worked well.
Latter, I often saw my younger sisters receive the same treatment. The suppositories stopped at age 6 as mom used a bulb enema syringe on me.
