I didn't like being given enemas as a girl. That said, it really wasn't that big of a deal: a little discomfort, a bit of embarrassment at times...

I think it helped that everyone got enemas back then. I know that my siblings, cousins, and many of my friends were given enemas by their moms, and sometimes by aunts, grandmothers and other relatives. It was a common and normal thing.

I also saw enema bags in bathrooms when I was visiting friends or relatives.
