Subject: Ground Hog Day Feb. 2, Will He See His Shadow

According to the calendar February 2, 2016 will be
GROUND HOG DAY.

Legend has it that is a ground hog will come out of
his winter burrow from sleeping and if it is a sunny
day and he sees his shadow and returns back inside to
go back to sleep, there will be six more weeks of winter.

If the ground hog doesn't see his shadow and stays and
doesn't return to his burrow, then an early spring will
happen.

In Punxsutawney, PA the town has been looked to on Ground
Hog Day for over one hundred years to help predict the
weather because whether their might be an early spring
each year because they have a ground hog named Punxsutawney
Phil who has become quite a celebrity in predicting the
weather each year. He may not correctly predict and EARLY
SPRING each year but, he has become quite famous and brought
recognition to the town.

He makes his burrow home at the town public library area,
and we have visited Punxsutawney, PA and seen him inperson
one time while on vacation heading to visit New York City.
The town has even erected a statue in honor of Phil.

Closer here at our homes, living in the country we have
seen quite a few ground hogs roaming around in the non-winter months but, we never took time to talk to any of
them. Of course, during the winter time they have burrow
homes some place, so we wouldn't know where to go and check
and see if they are sleeping in their beds or not.

The weather man in our area is predicting temperatures
around 40 degrees and partly sunny on February 2 - Ground
Hog Day so, it could be a toss up what a ground hog around
our area will do and predict on the day any ground hog can
be in the spotlight.

So you reading this, what will you predict yourself? Will
there be an Early Spring or will there be 6 more weeks of
winter weather?

We predict the following will happen:

Mark - I say the ground hog around here WILL NOT see his
shadow and we will have an early spring! We've been having
some cold temperatures some this winter, and it doesn't
help my Cold Butt Syndrome (CBS) so, I'm ready for an early
warm spring time!

Drew - I'm saying a ground hog will see his shadow and go
back inside his burrow to sleep for 6 more weeks, but we
will have an early spring however. As for what kind of
temperatures we will have? Doesn't matter. Mark's little
butt will always have its Cold Butt Syndrome Problem.

Jake - An early spring. Mr. ground hog will not return to
sleep 6 more weeks of winter. He will not see his shadow.

Sean - a ground hog around here will see his shadow,
return to sleep 6 more weeks of winter.

Cody - Early Spring. The ground hog will stay above ground
and not go back to sleep 6 more weeks.

Hunter - There is a 50-50 chance of party sunny skies
predicted for here on February 2. Hopefully a ground
hog will not see his shadow. Maybe when he's looking
around it will be cloudy out! I'm ready for an Early
Spring.

So those of you reading this, what will you predict
on Ground Hog Day - February 2?
