I can not answer for sure if there was a chuck wagon or not on the cattle drive, but they did have to have a way to feed themselves.

My Grandpa did have a few year old Ford Model-A one ton truck he bought new in 1928, I believe he still had his older Model-T truck. I am sure the trucks we taken with to carry their cloth, bedding, gear and supplies. I suspect everything was carried by truck, but, it maybe possible a wagon was brought to carry gear.

During the drive I am sure the Cowboys rode their horses to keep the cattle in line. I wonder what that was like.

I have never been on a long cattle drive, but in my youth I helped when we moved cattle from one pasture to another. We moved the cattle between 3 and 5 miles and that was a chore. I rode a horse and later my dirt bike. Today, at the ranch they ride four wheel ATVs will moving or working with the cattle.

During the drive I am sure they brought tents to sleep in and some, if the weather was nice, sleep under the stars.

To bad we do not have any pictures of th ecattle drive.
