As a coach, away games are different. I used to ride in the back of the bus and had fun with my team mates. On the way, we knew we had a game to play and had our games faces, but we still found time for fun and a little horsing around. On the trip home, especially after a win, we had more fun singing, horsing around and guys being guys - sometimes the coach had to say something to settle us down. He let us have fun up to a point, but we couldn't get out of hand.

Now, as the coach, I am in charge of the trip when the 9th grade team travels. I am the guy who dies the head count and makes sure we take home as many boys as we brought. Some parent might get upset if their son was left behind. We the guys get to noisy I am the guy who has to settle them down.

As an assistant to the varsity coach, I still ride up front and act like an adult, but the head coach is in charge.

Riding in front of the bus isn't as much as riding in back. LOL.

I have three guys on the 9th grade team who have really improved and have leadership qualities. Two are are Guards and the other a Forward.

There are couple of real leaders on the Varsity, on is the Point Guard and the other a Forward.
