Hey Big Brother Tanner/Coach Tanner,

Thanks for sharing and recaling your away bus rides
as a player.

We didn't know you and your teammates did singing of
songs, you never mentioned this before. What kinds of
songs did you sing? Was there music played to go along
with the singing?

Us and teammates don't sing on our bus trips on the way
to games or returning home. We are too busy talking about
the upcoming game or being quiet with game faces on, and sometimes listening to music to relax to on the way to
the game.

On way home, especially if we won, we are horsing around
within reason coach/coachs allow; besides recapping the
game what we could have done better at, etc., some guys
listen to music, some eat snacks and others planning on
what to do when we get back if game is especially on a
Saturday as time still to drive home (an hour away)for
what is left of the weekend.

When your coach with your team on the bus that is good
you do a head count. Our high school coach always did, and
even the bus driver alot of the time did a head-check count
themselves, too. They'd write down how many people were suppose to be on the bus.

That'a GREAT you now have three real leaders on the 9th
grade team who have improved and have leadership qualities.
That means at season end they should get the Most Improved Sports Awards, right? Can you give out 3 awards? That would be cool!

As asst. varsity coach we think you should ride up front,
too. On way to game do you and head coach and any other
asst. coaches review game ideas to bring up about after
the arrival to the game site, etc. even though the head
coach will write out on the board what everyone has to do?

Our head coaches were running "the show" but would
always ask the assistant coaches on hand if they 'had anything to add or say in high school, which our head college coach does too, and asks his asst. coaches to do the same. It's great to ask everyone's opinion. What was
nice about high school too, and we are seeing this in
college too, is coaches asking us players IF we have anything 'to add to the game plans, etc.' and by doing
so if we do have somethings we think could go along with the head coachs' Game Plan we can be told if they will be
accepeted or not too. But still HEAD COACHS in high school or college are STILL THE NUMBER ONE COACH AND WHAT THEY SAY GOES!

Great there are two varsity players on the team who are
Real Leaders, too. That should help take some of the pressure off the Head Coach and asst. coaches.

GOOD LUCK to your 9th grade team and the varsity team
to continue to play hard and get as many wins as
they can and earn!
