Hi,

It is time to catch up with everyone. I guess most of my time has been spent on wedding plans, work and coaching.

Plans for the wedding are on going, I think they are going well. I didn't realize how many plans need to be made and details worked out. Brady says to do what Kala tells me and everything will work out. He keeps saying "see what I went through". In the end it will all work out.

I can't believe we are already in our fifth week of school, I have enjoyed it very much I was nervous he first day, but once classes started the nerves were gone. Just like playing sports, getting butterflies before the big game, but they pass when the game started.

The kids are awesome, they are fun to work with. I haven't had any real discipline problems, I have only sent two kids to detention. Lol.

I feel the kids respect me.

I must admit, it was hard getting used to be calling Mister. Mister is my Dad, I am Tanner. The kids call me either Mr. Gr*** or Mr. Tanner is okay too.

I teach 3 section of sixth grade Science, 3 sections of seventh grade Life Science and one Anatomy. I was wondering what teaching three sections of the same class would be like, but is okay - while you teach the same material to each section, somehow, each class is different.

In addition to teaching, I am an assistant coach on our school's football team. We have played three games so far and are 1-2, we won our first game last week. Before the season started we knew it was going to be a learning experience - a lot of our kids have little game experience. Last year, it was the eight grader who got the playing time, and experience, they have moved onto high school, so the younger kids need to step up. We have worked with the boys and they are improving, trial by fire can be difficult. We have worked with the boys and gave a lot of pep talks and encouragement, they are coming round.

Also. I have been working with the Tight Ends on my old high school football team. The varsity team is a powerhouse, still undefeated this year. The next couple of weeks will be interesting, we play the other two best teams in the conference.

This winter I will be coaching the ninth grade basketball tem at my old high school. I have been talking to/recruiting potential player, and making plans for the upcoming season. I am looking forward to the coming basketball season.

Parent/Teacher conferences are in 3 weeks, this should be an interesting experience.

Later.
