I guess it is time to say and update everyone as to my activities.

The Middle school football team finished the season strong, winning our last three games. We jelled as a team, the guys came a long ways this season. I am happy for them.

I survived my first Parent-Teacher conferences. I think all-in-all it went well. Most parents in our school are very supportive of the school and support their children. They make sure their kids are ready for school, they have their homework done, had adequate sleep the night before and are ready to learn.Of course there are some parents who don't care and it shows. I have sent two kids to detention so far, one of parents told me if his son caused anymore problems to let him know and he would turn his son's backside red. Ouch.

Kala and I, along with my Mom, attended our states Teachers Convention last week. We attended some of the seminars on teaching, school, etc. I also looked at the displays the vendors had on display. It was interesting and we had a good time. I also seen some of my old teachers there, it seemed strange being a peer to them now, and not one of their students.

In addition to being a coach at my Middle school, I worked with and coached the Tight Ends at my old high school. That team is doing very well this season. This coming Saturday they are playing in the Class AAA semi finals, if they win they advance to the state title game next week. I often attended the high school football games and stood on the sidelines coaching.

Monday my 9th grade basketball team being practice. I think I have some good talent to work with. I have talked with the boys Middle school coaches, and reviewed score books from last year. The boys come to high school from three different Middle schools so I will need to get to them to work together and become a team - put those old Middle school rival aside.

Other than that, things are going well, Kala and I both love our jobs and enjoy what we do. Kala is busy teaching 4th grade and loves it. She survived her first Parent-Teachers conference too.

Plans for the wedding are moving forward, I think Kala real enjoys planning our wedding.
