Hey Big Brother Tanner,

Great hearing from you. We knew you were busy, but boy
you were/are really busy. GREAT!

Great the Middle School football finished strong at
season end and "jelled as a team?" (Mark): Did they
become grape, strawberry, cherry, etc. LOL.

(Drew):
Permission Coach Tanner to WHACK Mark for being a
wise-guy? His paddle has been idle for awhile and his
little butt could use a good warm-up with cool days
we've been having.

(Mark): I was just joking around. You leave my little
butt alone Drew! Geeze!

(Jake, Drew, Sean, Cody & Hunter & Mark and Drew): You
help the football team to come a long ways this season
Big Brother/Coach Tanner. The Team will be forever grate-
full to you. Will there be an Awards Banquet to honor the
members and review their season? (Mark): Would there be a
Swiss Steak Dinner? LOL.

GOOD LUCK to the high school football team playing in the
semi finals. We hope and pray they win and keep advancing
to the state championship. That would be so COOL and you
would get to be apart of it being the Tight End Coach you
could attend!

Our former high school's football team didn't advance in
playoffs here but, an area team we always liked has been
and play a regional game tonight. The school never got this
far in the playoffs before, so we wish them luck!

Good to hear you survived your first Parents-Teachers
Conferences, and things went quite well. We bet alot of
the parents are pleased you are teaching their kids,
especially them knowing you played sports and was a leader
on the playing field and now you want to be a leader in the
classrooms!

That's sad some parents don't care about their kids and
take an interest in their schooling, to encourage them to
do their best and be cooperative with their teachers.

Sorry you've had to send two kids to detention. Hope it's
not too serious about what caused them to earn the detentions? We know you probably tried different things
to prevent them having to be sent to detention and there
was no other alternative.

Gosh, the one parent who said if their "son caused anymore
problems to let him know and he would turn his son's backside red" sounds like not a loving/caring parent or
they just don't want to take time to help their son, and
leave the resposibilty up to you, the teacher. You probably
wanted to down-play his comments and wouldn't want to inquire how or what with he would turn his son't backside
red but, we think/guess he sounds like the kind of father
he would bare his son's butt and take a belt to him and
give him a severe whipping. OUCH-BIG TIMES!! We hope that
it doesn't come down to that!!!

It's none of our business but, we know you have talked to
the boy more then once about his disappointing behavior and he needs to improve or perhaps he doesn't want to do his
homework or he wants to be disruptive in class to see if
he can get a thrill doing this, but might the boy want and starve for attention? Or perhaps he is bored with class/school and needs to figure out what he can do or someone else to make school be interesting, fun for him
to attend, etc. Are we guessing right? Has the boy been asked about these?

We know Big Brother you will use your college-learned
knowledge to help this student, you'll continue to be his friend and Teacher and we bet you could be a mentor to the kid as caring as you are that you aren't going to toss him a side! Please find away to save his backside from NOT getting turned red!! Unless this needs to be done as a last resort and hope it doesn't have to be done!

GOOD LUCK in advance to come Monday Coach Tanner you and
your 9th grade basketball team have a GREAT SEASON. Hard
to believe basketball season is just around the corner.
We've been thinking ahead a little but, still staying
focused on playing college football.

Sounds like you are researching your players like a GREAT
COACH should find out about as much as their players as
possible, and like you say you need all the players who
once were rivals need to put those years aside and behind
them to BE A TEAM AS A WHOLE AND ONE TEAM.

You'll probably be asking each player to start the season
right by writing down what goals they want to reach this
season and by season end as an individual player and as a
team? Our middle school, high school coaches had us do this,
and even our college coaches do this too. There must be a Coaching Handbook that mentions to coaches to this or do they take it upon themselves? How about you, Coach Tanner?

Good to hear Kala is doing good teaching 4th graders and
"loves it." We suspect her students return and love her
too! Do they know she is going to get married next year?
Great she survived her first Parents-Teachers Conference, too. Hope she doesn't have any "troublemaker(s) in her class she has to deal with, like your having to do? Do 4th graders have a detention for punishment?

Great things are going forward in planning the wedding.
We suspect you put Kala with her Mom, your Mom and some
girlfriends together to talk about wedding plans and some
really great ideas come about? You and Best Man Brady we suspect are having some wedding plans meetings yourselves,
right?

College is going great for us, for our girlfriends, and
we are having some fun besides. Hard to believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and then Christmas and end of the year. Time is going fast. Does your school
close for Veterans Day observance?

Continue to keep in touch Big Brother. We hope school
continues to go great for you, Kala and your students!

Later...
