Thanks for the early birthday wish, it is truly appreciated.

One correction, our family has been on this land, at least the original 160 acres, since 1879, only 138 years. A few years ago we had a big family reunion to celebrate 135 years. But is great you remembered.

Mark you singing was great, not off key at all.

Our crops are doing well, growing great. We haven't had a huge amount of rain this year, but they have been timely.

While waiting for the crops to grow, we have been busy making hay. To me it is kind of fun haying, I have always liked driving the mower tractor and later pulling the bailer.

In response to another post, yes, we have been growing soybeans for quite sometime. I guess we get them harvested before it gets too cold.

A couple of weeks ago, Grandpa and I participated in the annual tractor trek. This year, to break things up, we took a different route. We let the gathering place just after 9:00 AM and stopped at 10:30 for donuts, cookies, coffee or pop - I had a pop. At noon we stopped for lunch. We had burgers, beans, slaw or potato salad, and cookies for dessert. The meal was included in the registration fee, and you could buy addition burgers or brats if you wanted - I bought a brat too. We arrived back at the starting point about 2:45. Everybody lined up their tractors and we stood around visiting - it is always fun to talk tractors with other guys who love them too. About 5:390 we loaded up the tractors and drove home. As always we stop at this local steak house for dinner. I had a steak, French fries and lettuce salad. For dessert I had apple pie with ice cream. I always love this event.

My baseball team is doing great, our record is 5-1 so far. I have hit 3 home runs so far this season. Are you guys (M.D,S,J,H,C) playing baseball this summer? Oh, BTW, great summer jobs working at the minor league ball park. It sounds like an awesome job.

I have been spending time with Kaylee. Last weekend I went with her on an overnight trail ride. By day we ride our horses and camp out at nigh. Sunday we packed up and rode home. It is really a fun time.

On days off, I still enjoy riding my dirt bike, it is still an awesome experience. I have also been spending time at the community swimming pool in town.

Mom and Dad got another dog, since Ben died last year we have had just two dog. Reggie is about a four month old German Shepard. Dad has always liked the German Shepard bread, so they decided it was time for another. He seems like a great job and is fun to play with.

Well, thanks for the birthday wish and hope each of you has an awesome fourth.
