Your show sounds awesome, I can't wait until our Threshing Show in September. I always have a great time and enjoy the show very much.

Sounds like you guys have a lot more steam tractors show up than we do. We only get a steam tractor show up every so often, we get lots of tractors, but they are mostly gas powered.

Our Threshing Association did host a fund raising dinner and dance last Saturday night. A ham and baked potato dinner was held at the community hall for those who wanted to eat, and later a dance was held on the Threshing grounds. Kaylee and I attended the dance, and had a great time. About 280 people attended and Association made for $5000.

Two Sundays ago, Grandpa and I took his 1938 John Deere tractor to the Tri-County Fair for a tractor/car show. It was a small show, about 35 cars and trucks attended and 15 old tractors.

We also took Grandpa's newest toy, a 1941 Chevy half ton pick-up truck. Earlier this year when we bought my Mom's uncle land, the old pick-up came with the farm. The truck hadn't run for some time, but Grandpa tinkered with it and got it running again. The truck has its original paint, dark blue with black fender. The paint is fading, but still okay. The interior has a black seat and a rubber mat on the floor. The dash is metal and so are the inside door panels. There is no radio, it has 6-cyliner engine with a four speed manual transmission (actually first gear is "super low" and only used to pull/hall heavy loads). It is really basic, rough to ride in, but it is fun. Kaylee likes going for a ride in it. Grandpa enjoys the truck too, it the same age as he is.

Thanks for sharing about your show.
