Subject: Graduation

I know I have been slow at posting about Kala and my graduation from college, so I will take care of it now.

It is hard to believe it has been a month today since the big day, the build up to graduation seemed to take so long, but them it seemed like it was over in a flash.

Saturday morning a Baccalaureate service was held at the Priory for those who wanted to attend, Kala and I decided to attend. Since we attended a Catholic University, no one complained about the separation of church and state.

The graduation ceremony started promptly at 2:00 in the afternoon. When the music started we began the march into the area. There was the traditional speeches and music, and then it was time for the diplomas to be handed out. We were lined up in alphabetical order by the degree we were to receive. Finally when the Dean read my name I walked across the stage, and the president of the college handed my diploma and shook my hand. Just like that, it was over. I watched Kala receive her degree. After the Benediction, we marched out of the area.

All I could think about was how much fun I had playing basketball in that arena.

After the ceremony Kala and my parents hosted as little party in town. They rented the banquet room at a local hotel. Horderves, desserts, a cake and soft drinks were served. It was a great time.

The last few days leading up to graduation were exciting, but sad times. It was hard to believe my college days, at least undergrad, were over. My college basketball eligibility is over. I said a lot of good byes, attended some parties and packed. I had some great times here, and will miss them.

College was great, I felt I have matured some and learned a lot. Thanks for everyone who cheered my basketball play.
