Hey Little Brother Wyatt,

How ya doing? Sorry we couldn't respond to your thread message
because the forum was "down" until a few recent days ago, which
so far is operating pretty good.

All of us helped Mark's grandpa finish up with the planting after
we returned home from college and playing in the baseball tourney.
Corn and wheat was planted again. Glad you was able to help with
some of the planting, too. Is soybeans usually planted? We don't
recall from other years it was or perhaps we didn't pay attention.
Some planting of soybeans is done around here but, some farmers
worry about fall frost killing soybeans if they can't get them harvested
right away when needed so mostly in our area farmers plant wheat
and corn.

That's neat more land was purchased earlier this year from your
Mom's uncle. Wasn' t he using it or decided to "retire" from planting
crops, etc.?

Early cutting of hay? That is neat. Hay around here will be ready
for first cutting in a couple of weeks. We had a late-cold spring.

That is neat that you and grandpa could be in recent new inaugural
tractor trek at the nearby town 45 miles away. "Dairy Days" is a
good name for the event. WHOW! 12 miles long for the trek? That
must have been fun driving in. (Mark): Was there some great food
to enjoy along the way and at the end? (Drew): I knew it! You had to
ask about food.

Today, June 17 you and your grandpa are participating in your
Annual Tractor Trek and Gathering. We hope you have fun like
you do each year. (Mark): Hope you have lots of food to enjoy,
Your having a 27 mile drive/ride this year? COOL! We hope your behinds don't get too tired! LOL. Is Kaylee going to ride with you?

Next month July 9-10 is our Annual Antique Steam & Gas Tractor
Show we attend each year. Hopefully we'll have a great turn out
like we usually do, and the weather cooperate. Of course, it being
July will always be a "hot weather" event to attend. We all enjoy it
no matter how hot it gets!

Your playing summer rec baseball and first base? GREAT! (Mark):
You chose a great position to play, which is close to my heart! We
want to wish you GOOD LUCK you and your team, and we see your
off to a great start getting a win playing your first game! CONGRATS!
Keep it up. How did the June 9th game go? You did some great
hitting your first game Wyatt! Way to go Little Brother!

We've been spending time with our girlfriends this summer too,
and all of us got jobs at a Minor League Baseball Park that is
in our region. Us guys "were not wanted to work" at the past
years' jobs we had that Boys Youth Camp. We were told for
whatever reason, "can't use you guys this year" so we looked
for work elsewhere. Our college baseball coach tipped us off
about job openings, and we sought them out and got work.
Our girlfriends could have worked at the Girls Youth Camp
like they have in the past located across the lake but, they
decided to stick with us and got jobs, too at the ball park.
We wrote a separate thread about our ball park employment, so
look for it, now that the forum us up and running again now.

Say, we asked elsewhere to you and Brooks but guess it
got overlooked, we were wondering how you both ended up
and your college softball team for ending of season play.
How did you, etc.?

(Drew): My girlfriend Susan had a birthday June 14 and I
helped her celebrate alone some of the time and everyone
else helped, too. I gave her a dozen red roses and a gold
locket for birthday gifts. I sure got some great kisses and
hugs in return!
