Subject: It may be "dumb" to do it, but again, how does it affect the way each of the girls perform? Words on a paper are not going to make so-in-so twirl worse or better. The girls that put stuff like that down are not technically lying, but I understand why they would put that down. It can be mis-leading, but as stated before, it is what it is, and words on paper are not going to make any one of those girls twirl better or worse.

In reply to: ITK 's message, "All twirlers do it... not just in AZ. I remember last year the Florida message boards were jumping all over their winner for saying she was a 'World Champion' baton twirler... Technically she was a World Champion because the titles at NBTA Nationals say World Open National 2 Baton Winner, etc. She never actually went to Worlds, but technically she wasn't lying. Its just dumb to do it, esp with Meredith competing, who actually IS a National Champion, and has been for years!" on 19:35:41 06/25/14 Wed

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: Give it up already. It doesn't concern you, and it is what it is. If the girls are fibbing are on their paperwork then it is bound to catch up with them in interview. Leave it to the judges to decide if they can the girls are fibbing or what not. I know some of you are bitter that certain girls didn't make it the top 5, but i assure you that the top 5 girls' paperwork didn't get them to the top. The judges obviously loved what they had to offer.

[> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: I'm an NBTA twirling coach & judge, and this title thing is a real problem. And I can tell u that NONE of these contestants are official national champions. It looks like they were on a team that won a beginner national championship. That's REALLY a stretch! And very unfair to the true national champs! Most of these twirlers in Arizona have not even reached the advanced level of twirling. Smh...
