] Date Posted: 11:30:20 02/11/14 Tue I know some of you have heard through the grapevine that we have been working on securing a high-calibre photographer to do the official shots for Miss America/Outstanding Teen of our new 2014 winners, plus get this same person to offer a discounted package rate to our local contestants to ensure really first-rate pictures for our program book. We are working on making the state competition magazine (program book) ALL COLOR this year. I am attaching a flyer created by our fabulous photographer Georgina Vaughan, who will travel from Las Vegas to shoot both Teen and Miss girls the weekend of March 28-30. This weekend is strategic for several reasons. First, it's Winter Workshop, so directors will be in the Phoenix area for this anyway; this allows for the director to be with the contestant if that is desired. Secondly, it is after all local girls are crowned, so everyone can take advantage of this. Georgina is extremely efficient and on the ball ‹ she knows when our deadline for pictures will be and has assured us she will have the pictures turned around in time. So while it may seem like you're waiting longer than you normally would for photos, there is no worry that the deadline will be missed. Finally, while Georgina made a name for herself shooting Miss USA girls, you will see from the attached flyer that she is good at "non-glam" looks as well, and knows exactly what we are looking for for images. However, I will say, when you are looking for inspiration and emulating photos of successful winners in the MAO system, don't look at State photos. Look at the 53 NATIONAL photos. This is the look we are going for and what our judges will be most receptive to, and this is what Georgina has been prepped by us to shoot. The judges are being told that we are looking for a girl ready to hit the national stage and this starts with her photo as the first impression. Georgina's contact info is included in the flyer along with other details. Please reach out to her directly to schedule and to ask questions! In no way are any of you required to shoot with Georgina ‹ this is merely a suggestion of a photographer who knows what we are looking for and who will produce a quality product. As you'll see from the flyer, she includes several edited images in the price of the package, which comes in handy for having a headshot, crown shot and shots for your ad pages. But if you would prefer to shoot with someone else, that is completely up to you and acceptable. Thanks so much, Stacey [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

| [> Subject: I love the color program book plan!! I hope they don't mind other photographers as long as they are good it shouldn't matter. Hope there is a decent deal to purchase pageant week photos I know we have been spoiled by that in the past. | |
