Hey guys, so I am a male senior in college and have been dealing with gay intrusive thoughts for over a year now. It has been brutal at times but I am confident that the current therapist I am seeing will help me get through this. I picture myself one day sharing my life with the woman of my dreams and embracing every part of myself. One thing I feel that drove my case was I have been watching porn since about age 13 and I am currently 21. A lot of my attractions in general faded away and in a sense sex just seems like screwing some kind of hole. I am currently two weeks away from porn and I have noticed my attractions coming back. In addition, the thoughts are not as debilitating as they once were. I understand that sexuality is a complex issue and that it is very fluid. I do know deep down I was made to have a life with a woman and that therapy will not only help me get rid of this homophobia, but also be confident that even though I am straight, I can still look at a guy, think he is attractive and know that that thought or even feeling does not make me a homosexual. Something everyone should keep in mind. I am excited this support group has been made and I think it will be a great success for us to all share our stories. Into my 4th week of therapy, let's see how this goes!
