Welcome to everyone! I was prompted to create this forum for many reasons. Number one, I have been unable to locate any other forums discussing the subject of remote U.S. territories and possibilities for libertarians and others to habitate such locations.

I am a language interpreter and instructor by trade. I have recently returned from teaching English in Tampico, Mexico for 3 months. I speak Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese and other Latin languages.

I have also been involved in politics for many years with both the Libertarian Party and the Republican Liberty Caucus.

My current interests include finding an area within the territorial United States to set up a libertarian community with great autonomy. The most promising from the extensive research that I have done appear to be Navassa (off the coast of Haiti), Seranilla Banks, Baja Nuevo (also in the Carribean) and a couple islands in the Pacific.

There is one other; areas on the other side of the Rio Grande (the river having changed course over the years), which are surrounded by Mexico. We have identified at least 3 areas, possibly 4, and I will soon be leading an expedition to investigate these locations.

I have a great deal of information on all of these areas which I am anxious to share with others.

I look forward to having a wonderfully invigorating discussion and debate with all of you.

A final note: PLEASE! No nutty extremist types. This is not a forum for seccessionists or other radicals. It is for loyal Americans who simply wish to find the freeest spot in what constitutes the United States of America.

Thanx!
