Subject: LONG RANGE EXPLOSIVE DETECTION DEVICE

This paper describes a device that is capable of detecting and determining the contents of virtually all explosives (Most Any Materials Composition ). This technology is based on a new body of knowledge we call Magnet Signature Recognition Code (MSRC), which could be described as being similar to DNA. All matter has a distinct MSRC. This MSRC can be detected at great distances and then fed into a computer to determine composition and character. The computer then indicates to the operator the material being viewed. The type of material can be shown on a display or an alert can given in the form of a security message or tone. MSRC is firmly established on a technique of disturbing a control grid (area) and applying special sensors to pick a differential and sending it to a computer for identification and dissemination. In a nut shell this is how it is done. Very simple technology.

My detection devices can be designed as either passive or active. A passive device is a receiver, a non- intrusive device that detects signatures from a generated disturbance field. This device would passively survey a targeted area for traces of certain materials. The results of this passive data gathering would then be fed into a computer program. The computer would analyze the gathered data, compare it to known materials in its database and then deliver results to the display and activate preprogrammed alert systems.

Active devices act similarly, however an active device would send out a signal and get a reflective signal back, like radar. The active device would be capable of identifying materials at a greater distance than the passive device. The results of this active data gathering are then fed into a computer chip and the results are then delivered to the display and viewed by the operator.

The HHD is small and is low power and can detect up to 2000 Ft. It has a small LCD for readouts, and is equipped with a sound alert that indicates a security breach. The sensitivity can be adjusted for different materials. This is a self-contained unit that requires a special code to activate. The HHD can also communicate with a GPS satellite for deactivation.

The HHD looks like a radar detector and is very simple to operator. Just point and pull a trigger and it will display the results. It can also be put in the automatic mode and be powered from an external power source. The results can be sent back to a base indicating the location of the explosives or materials detected. With a portable power source the HHD can run indefinitely.

The HHD device will not only detect signatures of materials but it can also identify and tag the container they are in. This is accomplished with a Laser Tag system. The laser will embed a small tag which a GPS system can track. All signatures are like a fingerprint and each is unique. This information can also be input into a Central Data Base for data warehousing. The HHD can also be used as part of an inventory system to maintain control of hazardous and volatile materials.

What is in a HHD?
The HHD has 4 main parts

1. The Transducer Sensor - Proprietary to inventor
2. The Hardware/ Software DSP and Software routines
3. The LCD Display
4. The case

The HHD is operates silently and does not give off a RF signal so it can't be detected. The HHD can be compared to the workings of a digital camera. It takes pictures of the subject matter, saves them and then feeds them to a computer The HHD is an active device. Which can also be used as a jamming device.

Signature technology is new and opens a totally new field in identification of any living / non-living thing. The HHD has an onboard computer and a memory data bank. This data bank holds a list of signatures to compare against, it can hold up to 1 Gig of signatures, this can be increased. This information can also be fed back through the web and viewed by many scientists and security personnel.

How it works:
The basic concept is based upon all things having a Magnetic (Chemical/Electrical) embedded code (continually in motion) . This code is part of the natural make up. All we do is unlock that code and use it to ID and locate the material we are interested in. We can also trace back to the origin where the material was manufactured. We can pinpoint the exact location and date of creation. This is a tremendous advance in technology. This technology can also be adapted to satellite operation for long range detection. The HHD can also determine the state of the materials it is looking at and view a Real Time Status , and tell if the state is at critical mass or just where it is.

The passive device is a stand-alone system that will detect at great distances different signatures. We call this device a Portable Detection Unit (PDU). The receiver is in the shape of a rectangular grid that can be either horizontal or vertical and can be placed on or in the earth. Magnetic ground waves tend to amplify the signatures and make them very easy to look at.

This PDU device requires more power than the HHD, The HHD is more short range and the PDU is long range. The output from the PDU is fed into a large computerized database where it is analyzed and monitored . The PDU is much more comprehensive as it reaches into the inter-atomic level of the signatures (Real Time DPS interrogation). The PDU can determine if something is living or dead and the date and time of death. In case of non-living things it can determine date of origin.

The basic concept upon which this technology is based is that magnetic signatures are always in motion. This is a very important concept concerning motion and magnetic signature differentials. For real time PDU to work you must have motion in a controlled disturbance field. Motion exists in all things, both living and non-living. All matter is in a state of motion. We build on this.

These devices I have designed (HHD and PDU) are well-built and strong in construction and can be operated by almost anyone. The HHD is lightweight at about 5-7 Lb. The battery can be remote and the weight of the HHD can become about 3-4 Lbs. The HHD can also be built into other configuration to avoid detection. The HHD or PDU can be incorporated into a drone and have great application for military uses. The PDU can be built into walls, put in the earth, and can be configured in many different shapes. Remote operation is easily accomplished allowing the PDU to send a warning signal to a central location. The HHD and PDU technology has many applications and will become the standard of the future.
