so i reach out without thinking and touch your face
you run your sweet fingers across my cheek and over my lips
softly, slowly
your eyes capture me
holding me captive through the dark shadows of the room
laying so close yet being miles apart
this distance makes me miss you
longing for all we could be for eachother
missing everything that doesnt exsist
i close my eyes tightly
so i can choke back these non-existent tears
and hide the pain that doesn't exsist
all this for you
to protect your heart
so you won't be worried or hurt by my disappointment
the disappointment that i PROMISED i wouldnt have
