I have been made to feel like nothing
with one simple note
my world was crushed
friend, who was no friend at all
the secrets he hid from me
secrets held for the one who broke my heart
two people
so blind to the pain they cause
so un aware of how much I hurt
oh, if only I could hate
but God did not build me that way
my heart hurts
like it never has before
even when my earthly father hurt me
it never broke like this
my tears fall
an unanwsered question in each one
how could they do this?
why would they hurt me?
what am I to learn from this?
I search for the lesson
that You want me to learn
but I see nothing beyond my pain
only the tears
and the emptiness
and when You send Your anwsers
the shelfishness of my heartache
blinds me to them
and the comfort
I so desperatly seek.
