poisoned with deceitful words
lips so beautiful have become the enemy
bitterness and anguish fight
this internal war as
stars and moonbeams do in
their constant battle
and all this time
i sit here in solemn loneliness
blank thoughts takeover my mind and
an empty void plummets to my soul
captivated by a breath of hope,
my heart cries out in regret
the simple things in life that are so precious
often get overlooked when
we live in a selfish moment
