The young woman ran to keep up with her bronze flit, who was flitting excitedly over to the beach. Tetsuya flew to his mate, crooning to her and nuzzling her. Kendra smiled at the pair.
If she not the most beautiful thing you've ever sen? Tetsuya said, nudging a bit at a few of the eggs with affection. He was a father!
I must admit, I've never seen a prettier little girl. Kendra smiled at the queen. She'd always gotten along better with flits and other animals rather than humans. She got to her knees, and bowed to the little flit.
"Beautiful mother, sweet sovereign, may I reuest from you a friend? I am Kendra, and you know young Tetsuya. I ask, with all my heart, that you please, consider me for your treasured queen egg. It would be worth just looking at the hatchling inside if she had the smallest fraction of your beauty. My Tetsuya was right. You are as lovely as they come, no, lovelier. Please, golden empress, I beg of you, consider me for your lovely daughter. I can promise you the best of care or her, if you choose me to shelter her. Anyway, Tetsuya would kill me if I did one thing a bit wrong with his daughter." she smiled a bit, but kept in a position of lowliness. A few tears trickld down her cheeks. "I don't make friends easily. I beg of you, mighty queen, please think about it. I leave the decision to you."
