Two children wlaked up on runners. A baby was strapped in front the boy. The girl dismounted, and untied the baby.
" May we each have an egg? Grean would like a medium, I would like a Very large, and I think that Hythe, our foster mother at the Sands, would also like a very large. Maybe we could get a small egg for Shah?"
Havinka asked the tall girl, backing away swiftly because there was a bronze rider, and his dragon here. She had to calm Cha, [her nickname for the beast] her foster mother's runner. Shah was cradled in her arms, as she calmed Cha down.
