A shadow appears on the sand as a green pops from between, carrying a very surprised woman. The fact that Relirath should not be carrying people too far is not even remembered, because to the green, flying with Ani aboard is a worthwhile joy.
Relirath? This isn't the way to the barracks, my friend.
I heard the word 'clutch' somewhere, and I had to investigate!
Flits! And a gold! I don't think the queen's gone yet... But how beautiful.
Ani dismounts gracefully near the nest and steps forward to admire the clutch and its guardian.
"Can you spare an egg or two for me? My dragonling heard about it and I couldn't keep her away." Crystal blue eyes are shining with hope for not-just-any-egg, but the wish remains otherwise unexpressed as the young woman kneels for a closer look, the ends of her golden braids just touching the sand.
