"Thankyou!" cried Lily, picking up the large egg. Nestling in her cupped hands, it hatched, and a large brown looked up at the sun.
Garth watched, proud to have produced such a big son. Tiff trilled her hapiness. She had a playmate now, and they could learn to fly together.
Lily looked at the young brown, thinking of a name. "Rann" she said suddenly. "Your name is Rann."
She smiled as Garth obediently fetched food for his mate. He had never obeyed herorders before! Maybe a mate would be good for him!
