Golden queen Asis swooped down with bronze Bram immediately behind her. She hissed him away as she lay her clutch of 15. Bram trilled with delight when she showed him a gold egg before quickly covering it up.

Kiarath circled down with Ralkene atop. She jumped down before the serpent-like green had even landed and hurried to her gold's nest. "Hello, Asis." She looked at the bronze who shied away from the stranger's gaze. "What a hansome little flit! Did he catch you?" The queen trilled an affirmative to her happily and nuzzled him. "I wonder whose he is."

'Do you know, Kia?'

'I wouldn't know.'

'Sorry. Sour-puss.'

'I'm hungry.'

'You're always hungry.'

'Not true!'

'I was joking!'

'Sorry.'

Kene rolled her eyes and searched the Beach, catching sight of a boy running towards them and a girl flying after them on long legs.

"Ho! Is this little bronze either of yours?" She scooped up the golden egg and pocketed it gently before either of the two saw it.

"Mine!" the boy called. The girl had beat him and a brown popped in and landed on her vacant shoulder, the other taken by a beautiful green. The boy also had a green on his shoulders, but it spread out to take both, where a certain bronze would usually be. "I'm Botan." He held out his hand and she shook it politely.

"Ralkene. Call me Kene. That's Kiarath."

She watched the girl who was laying on her stomach with her head in her hands, oblivious of anything but the queen in front of her, who she was staring at intently.

"That's my sister Atiyana," Botan said. Kene nodded. Asis chirped something and Kene grinned. "Her brown tried to fly my gold."

Ati looked up, but hadn't been listening. "I want one," she said. "Please?"

Kene managed not to laugh. "Let her through, Asis. Go ahead, take a few. You too Botan. Do you want the gold? I give it to the one whose flit caught her."

He shook his head. "Ati, you take it."

Atiyana was shocked and nearly dropped the one small and one large egg she'd picked out. "Why?"

"Because I'm feeling generous."

'I'd take it if I were you, but I'm no human,' Kiarath said to Ati, who could hear all dragons.

'I know.' "Um ... thanks, Botan."

Kene shrugged and handed her the golden fire lizard egg. Ati stared it before it hatched in her hand. A beautiful golden flit lat in her hands. Then a blue an a bronze hatched and she waited to name the three until she had stuffed them full. Impression. "The gold is Kin. The blue is Yahto. The bronze is Ravi." Kin curled up in her brown hair sending happy images. Tully and Egan had their customary shoulder perches.

Botan got a brown that he named Keb and a blue named Arnav. For herself, Ralkene took a bronze (Dinesh) and a green (Pallavi).
