"I knew you could do it!" She crows after Channa triumphantly. "He's absolutely stunning!" Clapping, she watches as her friend leaves with the deeply blue hatchling in the direction that A'rak and his bronze had gone. Not impatient, the girl sighs happily and waits for another egg to crack. Who knew? Maybe Kalya or Jenna might be next. She didn't even whisper to herself the hope that she felt fluttering inside her, but allowed it to ring through her mind.

Or just maybe, it'll be me.
