Subject: Shock, disbelief, and hope

It was as if some force pulled her towards the sight of the dragonet. She blinked once or twice in incomprehention of what was about to happen . . . then . . . suddenly, she knew. There it was. That . . . feeling. She felt pleasantly warm all over, not the warmth of heat, but a burning love. Everything was wonderful, new, bright. What a wonderful person stood before her, but that wasn't her thought. The most perfect person standing upon the sands . . . that also was not her own thought. Suddenly, and abrubtly the words formed in her mind. The greens strong, yet youthful voice was firm and commanding. Euroth . . . she rolled the name off her tongue, the dragonet looked up, her head tilted slightly to one side.

Well? Came the questioning voice. Am I going to get fed or will I just have to sit here and waste away as we speak?

Tanikli shook her head for a moment. It seemed so surreal. To reassure herself of this oddly dream-like reality she reached out to touch the soft, velvety hide of the young dragonet. Euroth butted her head gently against her hand.

I'm real. No need to worry about that. Euroth gave her an accusing look. Food . . . NOW.

Tanikli chuckled at herself. How could be so neclectful? This was it. THIS was IT! Never again . . . alone or fearful. Never again . . . never again.
