Author: S'sha and Kylith
Subject: ...Hatching Ends...

*As her last daughter hatches and finds her human counterpart, the Igen senior queen throws back her snout and lets out a warbling cry. S'sha, expecting this, covers her ears tightly, still grinning with remembered joy at the last Impression. Unfurling her broad pinions with a snap, Kylith lunges into the air and out of the Grounds, headed for the Bowl to satiate her raging hunger pangs. Her rider laughs lightly at her queen's grumpy tone, which turns quickly smug as she adds, I told you there would be enough Candidates. "Of course," she murmurs, though her dragon is well out of hearing range. "Come T'ren! The Hatching feast will be ready by now, and we have several new riders to meet." Tossing her weyrmate a charming grin, S'sha jogs out of the Grounds, having sat still far too long to calmly leave. Before she can get too far, however, she spins and cups her hands around her mouth. "GINNY! You're welcome to the Feast, as well!" Saluting her friend, she takes off in a dead run, enjoying the freedom of movement on firm ground, as opposed to the shifting Sands.*
