It was in a shaking voice, but at least she didn't studder too much anymore. "Well, you see, I've lost all my family over the past eight turns. I had both parents, 7 brothers, and 5 sisters. So, including me and my parents, there were 15 of us in all. We were a little strange, as my father was a harper, and my mother a healer. None of us thought we'd ever be anything other than one of the two. But, I was the third youngest, so, the others were taught first. Then, my father, along with my 4 eldest brothers and 2 sisters, left to see if they could become his apprentices. They... never returned. Threadfall was due, so... You get the idea. Well, then there were my mom, me, 3 sisters, and 3 brothers. Then, my mother was called off, 3 months later. She was a healer, and was needed, as there was an injured dragon in a nearby Weyr that needed all the help they could get. She, my two older sisters, and my 2 oldest brothersleft, along with my baby sister who was too young to be left without my mother, as she was only 4 months old. Thn, they never returned. We don't know what happened. Then, after a few years of slaving for ourselves in the forests and such, we found New Isle! But, that was when the storm came through, so... I lost him, and even though we had nothing at all in common, I missed him so much... And now, I'm here. Looking for the one who won't leave me, because something tells me I'm ot meant to live alone forever, that it cannot be my destiny..." She was crying, but she had finally told someone. Perhaps Cat wouldn't leave her? And, pehaps the queen had heard that, and maybe count the little teen worthy of her, just maybe, everything will be alright...
