The boy's eyes widened as the first egg hatched, and the mighty blue ripped out. He'd been afraid at the pause, but all fear was gone as the boy watched the blue, hide like a dark lake, arrogently break through the shell-- and head directly towarss him.

{K’rea! You are mine now! I, your Neroath!}

He blinked several times. Korea--or, now K'rea-- gently lifted his hand, and the blue muzzle was soon scooped up under it. The hide was soft to the touch, but not abnormally so. Neroath gave a small croon, ruffling his wings arrogently and mentally asking the boy to scratch his eye ridge. K'rea smiled, and obeyed willingly. Neroath made a small pur of a noise, but then straigtened up. He may not be big, but he was regal enough!

{K'rea? I hunger. And itch.} It was true; K'rea felt it deep within himself.

[Don't worry, love.] he said, scratching the offending itch. [It's easily fixed.]

{Good. Then you shall feed me now.}

And so, the first pair to Impress of green Grenith's clutch left the sands, both content. Neroath had proved a green's child could be born healty. K'rea had impressed, and of the same color his mother had.
