((I'm so sorry I took so long to reply. I've been sick all weekend. >_<))

Smiling as D'ctor returns, T'gan gratefully accepts the mug of klah. "Thank you, D'ctor. I've already eaten, but it's getting a bit chilly out here." He sips the hot drink appreciatively, breathing in the aromatic steam rising from its surface. His eyes skim over the Hatching ground, and despite his disapproval of the green clutch, warmth rises in his heart upon seeing the first few hatchlings cracking their shells. Any hatchlings are precious to the small Weyr, and to him. His attention returns to D'ctor at the older bronzerider's comment, and he chuckles softly. "So I see. The Headwoman will have a Feast out by the time the Hatching is over, so there'll be more than meatrolls if you're willing to wait." His two banished firelizards have been begging tidbits from the workers all evening, after being scolded for sending T'gan a long stream of joyous images of the food being prepared and disturbing his concentration. Westar in particular tends to think with his stomach, and assumes his human does too. The young man's gaze flickers over the Sands again. "They're healthier than I'd expected," he admits quietly to D'ctor.

Feeling his tail nipped, Kestor sits up abruptly on T'gan's shoulder, squawking. The bronzerider flinches at the noise, though his wherhide vest saves him from the prick of sharp claws. The bronze firelizard looks at Romana suspiciously, then hunkers down on his human's neck and glares at her, only slightly mollified when T'gan reaches up and scratches gently at a miniature eyeridge. Doesn't the little green know Kestor has a job to do? A big, important job, yes yes.
