Now that is a question I can give you a satisfactory answer to, Ojeth. Yes, it would be my pleasure if you were to join me. Lilith couldn’t fail to keep the smugness out of her voice, but who could blame her for being a little content with her situation? It was nice to flirt again – she had been feeling her age more and more lately, what with Shrineth’s flight, and the new hatchlings popping up everywhere. In truth, both she and Rinali missed Martan’s brown, Solarith, more than they would admit – Rinali because lack of a dragon kept Martan from being as he used to, and Lilith because she and the brown would have been close in age, and old friends are easy to miss. It’s good to see you again. She offered, once the brown was settled by her side. Sunning by a green or a blue is never quite the same as being able to…lean up against a dragon of larger size.

‘Hussy. You’re getting as bad as Grenith in your old age.’

I don’t notice you complaining when Ojeth’s rider look at you.

‘There is a difference. You are still beautiful, I just look old. You deserve attention, where I…’

Am fishing for compliments.

‘I’m sure that’s bad grammar somehow.’ Lilith gave her rider a mental snort at this last, once again making Rinali have to fight not to laugh.

“True, true. You should look Martan up sometime, he lives here now. I know he’d be glad to see an old face again.” Rinali never bothered to hide her soft spot for the former brownrider, but she had to admit it came from friendship rather than anything else – Martan was younger than her, but far older in his mind than Rinali ever would be. “I think you’re aware of the situation with Halzay and S’peer. T’rtatus, I don’t want to have to order you, so I’ll ask you first as a friend and second as a queenrider: Please stay out of it. Those two have troubles, and they are troubles which must be sorted out between them if they ever wish to have closure.” She sighed, taking a sip of her own wine. “Don’t argue with me on this one, please. If pushed too far, S’peer will go over the edge, and I think Halzay would not be far behind. For her sake, will you stay out of it?”

((Eeep, no thanks. Rinali’s happy with her one flit, she doesn’t have much patience! Hehe. And plottness is fun!))
