In reply to: L'nox(Primath) 's message, "†My heart is spoken for†" on 21:58:34 08/21/05 Sun

((Eh, I don't pay much attention to song lyrics and such. I figure that anything they have to say, a competent writer can tell me better in the post itself.))

"Oh, shards!" Until Primath squalls, P'rin doesn't realize that any food has been spilled on the green. As soon as he does realize, though, the bluerider rushes to help correct his mistake. Shrugging violently to dislodge Dell, he pulls off his new jacket and begins to sop up the soup. "I'm so sorry- I didn't realize-" For a moment, he's possessed by pure alarm and concern. If he's hurt this lovely little hatchling, there will be all hell to pay, and the worst of it will be from his own conscience. No dragonrider ever wants to see a dragon hurt. Only when L'nox addresses him does P'rin turn any part of his attention from Primath, because if the young man is collected enough to talk coherently and isn't calling for a healer, the hatchling must be all right. "I'm so very sorry," the bluerider repeats, wiping the spilled soup off the floor with his ruined jacket so no one will step in it before wadding up the once-blue fabric and straightening to look at L'nox. "I didn't mean to do that, honestly." The shark-like smile had vanished the moment Primath started fussing and still hasn't returned, but now another spreads across his face, small and tentative and mixed with concern. "Is she all right? Should I get a Healer or some salve or something?" P'rin's unshakable self-confidence is rising to the surface again; even an accident like that won't keep him down for long. "Oh, yes, I'm P'rin, rider of blue Caphoth. And if you don't need anything, perhaps you can honor me with your name, and your beautiful dragon's?" And now he turns back to Primath again, and bows to her, though not as deeply as he'd like due to the press of people all around. Dell, back on his shoulder, scrabbles about a bit to keep his balance. "I am very sorry, lovely one," he tells her solemnly. And though the compliments are much the same as he'd give any other green, especially with her Impressed about, that doesn't make them any less sincere.

Not asleep just yet, Caphoth easily catches on to the events that have just occurred, and he sighs softly inside his rider's mind. He won't berate P'rin - the bluerider is doing that well enough himself, and being the man's rider, Caphoth is inclined to forgive him anything. It's not P'rin's fault that he hadn't seen them, after all. Still, perhaps some words are in order. He didn't mean it, the blue says apologetically to Primath. He didn't know you were there.

((Sorry for the short post; my brain is shot right now.))
