X'thrall's heart almost stopped when he saw them. They had leaned in togther, were whispering-and looking quite cozy...

Now, if he knew the truth, it wouldn't have bothered him--in fact, he'd be the happiest rider in the world to know he had G'rein's love.

However, things must be looked upon at the bluerider's point of view. A bluerider and greenrider were leaning in together, and whispering. THey were grinning in some kind of pleasure. S'peer's hand was on his shoulder.

He had been taking his wine glass to the kitchens to be cleaned. However, there was a loud CRASH as the cup fell.


X'thrall couldn't take it. His heart was gone now; he knew it. No, it couldn't be.... because how could it be gone when it felt such pain? He felt tears in his eyes that he could not push back, and he felt a sudden burst of energy.

So, G'rein didn't love him. It was an act...

X'thrall didn't know if G'rein saw his tears, or came for him. He didn't know if S'peer realized he'd taken away the one thing that mattered as much as Golgith. He didn't know if either man knew how much his heart hurt. All he knew was that his heart hurt, and he had to leave--now.

Without a backards glance, he ran from the Lower Caverns. He was deaf and numb to all. He knwe Golgith said something, but he didn't hear it. He had to leave...

He did not, however, go to Rinali like he said he would. Instead, he looked like he was going outside the Weyr...
