“You can’t have it all!” S’peer joked, taking another swig of his juice. He was still watching X’thrall for any sign of suspicion from the bluerider, but he couldn’t find any obvious ones. X’thrall still looked a little tense about things, but what else could be expected when he saw his weyrmate with another man?

The greenrider glanced over at X’thrall, making sure he wasn’t facing any part of his body away from the rider – people’s subconscious picked up on the smallest things, sometimes.

((Hmmm…how many kids of paternal uncertainty would that make it? Three?
I have to confess I’m not sure…it seems in keeping with Elaini, in the temper she’s in at the moment, but X’thrall doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who would go off in a huff and have a one-night-stand.
On the other hand, G’rein is finally admitting to himself that he’s really in love with X’thrall. And as we know, charry-torturing is always fun! Yay!
That would be fun! So…OK! But…who’s baby will it actually be?))
