Mother Kay first petticoated her son at age 7. She makes two important points. First, she didn't use petticoating until the lad was old enough to feel embarrassed to be seen in girls' clothes. Second, she didn't petticoat until the boy's behavior demanded some intervention. Neither of these standards is based on age, but on the boy's receptivity and his behavior.
