When I was suffering baby punishment it was usually for a set number of days, depending on what I'd done. If I was to be in nappies for, say, three days then I'd be fed the milk each evening until the final one. So on the morning my punishment ended I'd usually be dry. Baby punishment was about learning to do what I was told. If I didn't then Mummy and Daddy would take the choice of what I did away from me. Being treated like a baby, including wetting my nappies and being put across a lap for a spanking was part of reinforcing the fact that during the punishment I wasn't allowed to make any choices for myself.
