I always did the baring myself to show that I was in complete control. I took my time and lectured through the whole process. Once they were bare from the waist down, I would make them stand there with their hands at their sides as I scolded. Usually, they were in tears before they even went over my lap. Sometimes I would administer s few sharp slaps to their thighs to emphasize my points. So Aunt Nat, I would find what works best for you and your two young ladies and stick with it.
