My mum would sit on the couch averting her gaze while waiting for me to take my underwear off myself and then would guide us over her knee, while my dad would completely turn around while I got ready and bent over the back of the couch, usually for the belt. It seems kind of funny that they used to respect our privacy considering it was about to go out the window in a few seconds but I know I would have appreciated it at the time nonetheless. They also made sure everybody else was out of the living room before you started undressing. I do however remember one particular occasion where a few of us walked in through the front door as my sister had just taken her swimming costume off which will probably never leave me! We expected them to cooperate with their spankings, and by removing their own pants and undergarments, they were showing us cooperation and respect. It's part of a spanking ritual that worked for us.
