 The implement mostly used on me and my brothers was a sturdy, old-fashion yardstick.

Guess this is sort of a semi-common implement, several of my friends got a belt off their folks. Dad just decided the yardstick worked well with us 3 boys and went with that over our tween and teen years.

Hurts so bad, Dad used it like a headmaster might use a cane, had me bend over a chair to take the smacks. They were big punishments that werent forgotten in a hurry

It isn’t necessarily an unusual implement in that I’ve heard plenty of stories of people getting smacked with a wooden spoon, but I found it completely wild that my mum used the same spoon on our bare bums as our food
