 Firstly, a Happy New Year to all SAGNAS members.

A large number of girls here have complained or merely commented that they get punished, maybe spanked, for not doing their "chores". This doesn't sit well with me. You are not skivvies, so surely chores is the wrong word. Of course, all children should be "willing" to help round the house, but it should be a labour of love, not a chore.

Growing up, my mother always said to me "please tidy your bedroom, the cleaning lady is coming today". I argued that it was her job to do that, not mine. It never got me anywhere! But I did it because I realised it was the right thing to do.

HNY SJ and everyone,

Team assignment might be a better description of the work around a living arrangement of several people. A chore is some sort of unpleasant (usually) task.
